Passengers with Disabilities and Special Conditions
Passengers with Reduced Mobility
Passengers who have difficulty walking long distances and/or climbing up/down stairs are requested to book the designated assistance service when creating their reservation on the website. If you are flying with your own wheelchair‚ please inform us after booking and up to 48 hours before the flight‚ so we can prepare with the appropriate assistance (in special cases‚ we may require a longer notice period).
How to update us?

Getting around the airport
- If you need assistance getting from the airport entrance gate to the check-in counters‚ approach the security team located at the terminal entrance. The team will be happy to assist and will escort you to the check-in counters. From there‚ our representatives will escort you to your seat on the aircraft. If needed‚ there are wheelchairs available for use throughout the airport
- At all check-in counters at Haifa Airport‚ there are hearing assistance devices with a hearing loop (telecoil). To use the device‚ it must be switched to the T position. Additionally‚ there are devices with an earpiece for passengers using a different type of device
Getting around during the flight
- You may board our aircraft with crutches‚ a cane‚ a white cane for the blind‚ and a folding walker‚ provided they can be safely stored in the overhead bins in the passenger cabin
- If you are flying with your own private wheelchair‚ we will collect it from you when you board the aircraft and return it to you after landing. This service is conditional upon receiving prior approval and the wheelchair weighing up to 30 kg
- After landing‚ please wait in your seat until a crew member arrives to escort you with a wheelchair to the arrivals hall
You must be able to manage independently during the flight or fly with an escort who can assist you before and during the flight

Guidelines for flying with a guide or service dog after approval

- It is important to take into account that flying may adversely affect the health of animals‚ including dogs
We may refuse to fly a dog in any of the following cases:
- The passenger did not provide the required approvals or failed to meet the above conditions
- The dog poses a direct threat
- The dog causes a disturbance on the aircraft‚ or its behavior indicates it has not been trained to behave in a public space
- Transporting the dog would violate safety and security regulations
- The dog exhibits clear and visible signs of illness or emits a foul odor
Important to know: It is your sole responsibility to obtain all documents and approvals required in the destination country for flying guide or service dogs. Air Haifa will not bear any liability in connection with this matter.
