Dangerous goods

Some items and materials are dangerous or forbidden to fly with.

Forbidden to bring on board (even in a suitcase in the hold)

  • Compressed gases (flammable‚ non-flammable‚ and toxic) such as butane and oxygen‚ underwater diving oxygen tanks‚ compressed gas tanks
  • Corrosive materials (such as acids‚ wet batteries)
  • Explosives‚ ammunition‚ fireworks‚ and easily ignited objects
  • Flammable liquids and solids (such as heating fuel)
  • Oxidizing materials (hydrogen peroxide‚ bleaching powders‚ etc.)
  • Poisons and infectious substances‚ such as insecticides‚ herbicides‚ and materials containing live viruses
  • Radioactive materials and medicines
  • Mercury‚ magnetic material‚ and harmful or irritating materials
  • Briefcases with alarm mechanisms
  • Paint and alcohol over 70%
  • Oxygen tanks

Advance approval from the airline is required

Ammunition

  • Category 1.4S only (UN0012‚ UN0014)
  • Up to 5 kg per passenger
  • In the hold only

Dry ice

  • Up to 2.5 kg per passenger‚ packed so the gas can escape‚ for example in cardboard or styrofoam packaging
  • If sent to the hold‚ the package must be marked "DRY ICE" or "CARBON DIOXIDE‚ SOLID" and the quantity of dry ice

Camping stoves/empty fuel tanks for camping stoves

  • Fuel tanks must be completely emptied
  • It must be left open and empty for at least 6 hours in the air
  • Then it must be closed with a lid‚ wrapped in absorbent paper/towel‚ and placed in a sealed polyethylene bag

Powered wheelchairs

Usage of a wheelchair is permitted for a passenger with a permanent disability or temporary need. In all cases‚ approval must be obtained from us to fly the chair.
There are several types of wheelchair batteries and several ways for passengers to fly them depending on the battery type and flight method:

Non-spillable batteries

  • You can take one spare battery (dry) and up to two spare batteries (Nickel Metal Hydride)
  • Spare batteries must be packed in strong packaging and sent to the hold

Spillable batteries

  • Ensure the battery is protected inside the chair
  • If necessary‚ disconnect the battery from the chair and pack it in strong and stable packaging

Lithium batteries

  • You can take up to one spare battery up to 300wh and up to two spare batteries up to 160wh each
  • Spare batteries must fly in the cabin and are forbidden to be sent to the hold
